How comfortable are you with your naked truth? Being photographed in the controlled environment of a studio is a bit less intimidating, doing it in public takes a different mindset.
Deyanna confessed to being nervous leading up to the Photography & Figure Model Drawing event at the Apache Café. She was nervous to the point she almost didn’t show up. Her anxiety had her doubting herself.
On the morning of the event day she took time to envision herself. In her words, “Laying out on my balcony looking up at the sky, I imagined fear leaving my body with each exhalation. As the wind kissed my skin, I reminded myself, I am supported by all elements. I am supported by the grounds beneath my feet. Repeating this over and over until I felt lighter, my mood changed.”
On the way there she was still nervous, but it was tinged with excitement. She showed up as herself. Posed. She proved to herself that she was brave and bold enough to do it. She lists the night as simple bliss, a magical experience.
